Committee Name: Accessibilities, Accommodations, Treatment, and Remote Communities
Committee Scope:
- Review all aspects of service to A.A. members with accessibility barriers and make recommendations for changes and improvements.
- Coordinate the work of individual A.A. members and groups who are interested in carrying our message of recovery to alcoholics who are in communities such as nursing homes, military, veterans, and reservations.
- Coordinate the work of individual A.A. members and groups who are interested in carrying our message of recovery to alcoholics in a wide variety of treatment settings.
- Coordinate the work of individual A.A. members and groups to set up means of “bridging the gap” from the treatment setting to the A.A. community.
- Review all aspects of service to A.A. groups/meetings in non-correctional in-patient and out-patient settings.
- Work closely with the Cooperation with the Professional Community and Public Information Committee and the Correctional Facilities Committee to prevent duplication of effort.
- Coordinate the work of Area 41 Standing Committees, Districts, Groups, and individual A.A. members interested in carrying our message of recovery to alcoholics with barriers, accessibilities, treatment, and remote community concerns.

Did you know? Any member of Area 41 can attend an Area 41 Assembly and/or be a member of a Standing Committee, regardless of whether they are currently a voting member at Area Assemblies.
